Work is officially underway on a huge new pickleball facility coming to Loudoun County. We’re referring, of course, to The Picklr.
Back in December, we told readers about plans to open The Picklr at the Cascades Marketplace shopping center in Sterling.
The 30,000 s.f. facility is going into the space that used to be the home to the Marshall’s Department store before it moved to the Dulles Town Crossing center in 2023.
A Burn reporter went by this week and saw workers inside the space, which appears to have been stripped down to the “studs” in order to reconstruct it as a pickleball facility.
When completed, the The Picklr in Sterling is expected to have 10 courts, a pro shop, leagues, and locker rooms.
Right now, plans call for the facility to open sometime this coming summer.
