A longtime Sterling fast casual restaurant will permanently close its doors this coming weekend. Choolaah Indian BBQ is bidding Northern Virginia goodbye.
An employee at the restaurant confirmed that this Sunday, May 17 will be Choolaah’s last day in business.
The restaurant has helped anchor the Cascades Overlook Town Center since it opened nearly nine years ago.
The restaurant specializes in Indian food served up in a quick-service environment similar to a Panera or a Chipotle.
At one time, there was a Choolaah in Fairfax County as well, but that location closed in 2021.
According to the brand’s website, there are now just five remaining – three in Ohio and two in Pennsylvania.
