A reversal to report to you today regarding a new Roy Rogers restaurant that was in the works for Leesburg. The company has decided not to go forward with the plans.
Back in early 2024, it was announced that the Roy Rogers fast food chain would be building a new 2,800 s.f. restaurant on a vacant piece of land at The Shops at Russell Branch.
That’s the retail center at Battlefield Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway with the Lowe’s Home Improvement store and the ALDI supermarket.
However, a representative for the parent company of Roy Rogers has now confirmed with The Burn that the new restaurant will not be happening.
The brand already has two locations in Leesburg and the decision was made to “allocate resources to new markets.”
The landlord at The Shops at Russell Branch – the Peterson Companies – is already marketing the parcel of land again, looking for a new tenant to build there.
