Temporary signage installed at Ashburn’s future Panda Express

Just a quick update to let readers know that things are starting to move at the new Panda Express restaurant coming to Ashburn.

Temporary signage in the form of window clings have gone up on the facade of the space at the Belmont Chase retail center.

That’s the center off Claiborne Parkway near Route 7 with the Whole Foods grocery store and the Cooper’s Hawk restaurant.

As The Burn first reported back in January, Panda Express is taking over the space previously occupied by MOD Pizza.

Construction hasn’t started yet, but it’s getting close. The process of securing a contractor and sub-contractors to do the buildout of the restaurant is underway.

There are more than 2,400 Panda Express restaurants around the world. However, this will just be the second Panda Express in Loudoun County. There’s been one in Leesburg for several years now.

In the vicinity, another Panda Express is under construction over in Herndon.

The brand specializes in dishes inspired by the cuisine of China such as Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Beijing Beef, and Honey Walnut Shrimp.
