Surprising news today as word begins to spread that the City Tap House restaurant at One Loudoun in Ashburn has closed its doors permanently.
The Burn has confirmed the news with someone connected to the establishment – and besides, the doors are locked, the windows are covered over and the restaurant’s Google listing now reads “Permanently closed.”
The City Tap House at One Loudoun originally opened in November 2019. It took over the space that had previously been Hail & Hog Kitchen & Tap, a Washington Commanders-themed restaurant.
The City Tap website now lists four locations open and operating – two in DC, one in Philly, and one in Boston.
No word what new restaurant or other tenant might take its place. Meanwhile, the Lost Fox Hideaway on the second floor above the City Tap space is open and unaffected by the closure downstairs.
