The 2026 Upperville Colt & Horse Show, presented by MARS EQUESTRIAN™, is the oldest horse show in the U.S. and will celebrate its 173rd year June 1-7. The show runs daily from 8 a.m. until sunset, and admission and parking are free.
One of the best-kept secrets of the Upperville Colt & Horse Show is its transformation into a premier shopping destination. Throughout show week, the historic grounds become a unique outdoor marketplace, featuring more than 90 vendor booths thoughtfully placed across Grafton and Salem Farms.

Visitors are invited to explore a diverse selection of offerings, including fine jewelry, apparel, hats, tack and equestrian goods, home décor, fine art, pet products, specialty foods, coffee, gifts, and local services.

The shopping experience also highlights nonprofit organizations such as Sprout Therapeutic Riding and Education Center, Loudoun Therapeutic Riding, Fauquier SPCA, and Middleburg Humane Foundation.
“Each year, we create a vibrant shopping experience throughout the show grounds,” said Hayley A. Mahoney, director of operations for the show. “We are pleased to be at full vendor capacity for the third consecutive year, continuing to offer an exceptional variety of shopping and experiences for our visitors.”

While shopping and eating, attendees can also catch amazing equestrians on horses and ponies, competing in various disciplines in multiple rings all week. More than 1400 pairs of horses and riders will compete throughout the week.
The show culminates on June 7 at 2 p.m. with the $200,000 Upperville Jumper Classic FEI CSI4* featuring top world-class equestrians.

The day’s entertainment includes junior and amateur riders, pony conformation (including pony foals). There is also an invitational car show on Sunday – “Horses & Horsepower” – for antique and muscle car enthusiasts. Attendees are encouraged to come early to take advantage of shopping on this day, as well as all week long.
