Just a quick update today – a progress report of sorts – on the new Tous Les Jours bakery and cafe coming to Ashburn.
The permanent signs have been installed on the facade and we took a peek inside the front door. Construction is well underway – walls are going up as we speak. However, an opening isn’t imminent quite yet.
It was back in December when The Burn broke the news that Tous Les Jours would take over the former Cafe Rio Mexican Grill space at the Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center.
Tous Les Jours – or TLJ as it is often abbreviated – is a French-Asian inspired bakery that has lots of fresh pastries, as well as savory sandwiches, coffees, cakes, breads and other items. It’s a bit like a Panera in concept.
We’ve got messages into TLJ headquarters for more details on when the new Ashburn store might open, so stay tuned.
