Just a quick progress report for you on the plans to bring the new Capellini’s Classic Italian restaurant to Ashburn.
Temporary signage has gone up on all the windows surrounding the space at the Brambleton Town Center.
The Burn first broke the news back in May that the Italian restaurant was taking over the space vacated last year by Rebel Taco Cantina.
Chef Mike Cordero is aiming replicate the success of his restaurant Carbonara over in Arlington.
He’s describing Capellini’s as a “sister restaurant” to Carbonara – with some familiar dishes plus plenty of new ones.
There’s no official opening date yet for Capellini’s in Brambleton. Last word was sometime this fall.
When we passed by the other day, we peeked in the window and work hadn’t started on the space yet and all of the Rebel Taco Cantina fixtures and features were still inside – right down to bottles of hot sauce on the tables.
