Construction work is underway on the first Pitango gelato shop coming to Loudoun County – and now we have an update on the store’s timeline to opening.
As The Burn first reported last October, the Pitango gelato brand is moving into a vacant space at the South Riding Market Square shopping center.
That’s the Giant-anchored center next to Home Depot just south of Highway 50 at Loudoun County Parkway.
Pitango has taken over the corner space near the Giant that was previously a GameStop video game store.
We reached out to Pitango’s headquarters for an update on the South Riding store’s timeline and we were told right now – they are aiming for an early August opening. So if that holds – just over a month to go.
Founded in 2006, Pitango is a local brand that now has eight locations around the DMV. In 2023, the company started franchising looking to grow up and down the East Coast.
