Burning Question: What’s going on (with the Starbucks at the DTC)? — Jet M. via Instagram
Jet, you’re not the only one wondering. This past April, a reader alerted us that the Starbucks in the center court at the Dulles Town Center had closed.
We reached out to mall management then and we were told that the closure was just temporary in order to install some new equipment and it should reopen in “a few weeks.”
That was April and here we are in July and the Starbucks kiosk is still closed and silent. However, there is indeed signage saying the closure is temporary.

We’ve since received several more inquiries about the coffee shop’s status.
We reached back out to the mall for an update and they assure us that the Starbucks plans to return. However, the kiosk itself is 25 years old and apparently a significant amount of new furniture and equipment is needed.
That’s all we know at this point, so stay tuned.
