Changes afoot at WineStyles in Loudoun County

Changes are apparently afoot at a well-known wine shop in Loudoun County. It looks like WineStyles in South Riding is departing and a new store with a new name is coming in.

Details are scarce but here is what we know: For several months, the 1,500 s.f WineStyles space at the South Riding Market Square was listed as “available” to be leased. Then recently its status changed to “leased” which indicated a new tenant had signed on.

We spoke to the team at WineStyles at the time, but they denied any changes were coming.

Now, a Virginia ABC application has been submitted for the WineStyles address for a new business called Sip and Shop Cellars.

The application indicates it will have a food and beverage component as well as a retail wine component – similar to the current WineStyles.

It’s not clear exactly what is happening. Is WineStyles moving and a different shop coming in? Is WineStyles closing and a new shop is opening? Or did the owner of Sip and Shop Cellars purchase WineStyles and he’s just changing the name?

We’ve sent a message to the current WineStyle owners and are waiting for a response, so stay tuned.
