At long last, it looks like we have an opening date for the first Shake Shack restaurant in Loudoun County.
There hasn’t been an official announcement from the company, but we’ve heard from two sources that the big day will be Wednesday, August 5.
That date comes nearly three years after The Burn first broke the news that a Shake Shack was in the works for the Cascades Marketplace shopping center in Sterling.
As longtime readers know, an old McDonald’s building on the property was razed in order to build the new location of the popular burger and milkshake chain.
The new Shake Shack includes a drive-thru lane – a relatively new feature for the brand which has many of its locations in more urban, inline positions on busy downtown streets.
The arrival of Shake Shack is one of the highlights of the rebirth of the Cascades Marketplace center. Other new restaurants that have opened there include Taco Bamba, Wonder, Brasserie Royale, CHIKO, Inju Korean Grill, and Paris Baguette.
A new Mezeh Mediterranean Grill is coming soon as is a new drive-thru Starbucks.
New non-restaurant tenants include the recently opened Activate gaming center and the upcoming indoor pickleball center known as The Picklr.
