(Updated) Exciting news for folks with a sweet tooth. Work is officially underway on what should be the first of two new Kilwins locations coming to Loudoun County.
The Burn passed by the new store coming to South King Street in Leesburg and the front door was open and crews were working hard inside.
The Burn first reported back in March that a Kilwins ice cream and candy shop was coming to 17 South King, right in the heart of the town’s downtown business district.
The new location is part of a national brand specializing in ice cream, fudge, and chocolates.
There is also a second Kilwins location in the works for the Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn.
Nancy Carter, the local franchisee opening the two new stores, says she is hoping to have the Leesburg location ready to start scooping in mid-August.
