Surprising news out of One Loudoun in Ashburn where The Container Store has announced it is permanently closing its store in the center.
According to employees, the last day in business for the store will be Saturday, August 22. Clearance sales of 40 percent off and more have already started.
It was just two years ago this week – in July 2024 – that the huge 17,000+ s.f. store opened at One Loudoun.
Prior to that, the space had been vacant for several years after the closing of the Great Gatherings furniture and accessories store.
No reason was given for the closing of the store, which had recently started carrying products from the late, great Bed, Bath & Beyond chain after a co-branding of the store concepts.
A Container Store location over at The Spectrum at the Reston Town Center is the next closest location to Loudoun County.
