It looks like the new team at the Shake Shack restaurant in Sterling is going to take an extra week before opening.
Per a manager at the store and a sign out front, the date is now set for Wednesday, August 12.
We had previously reported that Shake Shack was aiming to open a week earlier based on word from a rep for the company, but we stressed that date was not yet official.
As The Burn has been reporting for the past three years – since we broke the news in August 2023 – Shake Shack is opening in the Cascades Marketplace shopping plaza off Palisade Parkway.
An entirely new building has gone up on the parcel of land that was previously home to a McDonalds restaurant.
When Shake Shack opens on the 12th, it will also feature a double drive-thru lane.
As the brand expands into more suburban areas, it has been experimenting with drive-thru lanes. It reportedly launched its first drive-thru in 2021.
