A new Indian restaurant is in the works for Purcellville – one that may already be familiar to folks in western Loudoun County.
The Burn has learned that Train from Mumbai is planning on opening a second location in the Purcellville Shopping Center on East Main Street.
It will be going into Suite U, which is the former home of the Purcellville Eats restaurant. Purcellville Eats recently moved to a new location a block or so away.
Train to Mumbai already has an original location in Lovettsville, which opened back in 2024.
“Our menu is a tribute to India’s rich culinary heritage, thoughtfully curated to celebrate bold, diverse flavors,” the Train to Mumbai website reads. “By blending time-honored cooking techniques with inventive ingredient pairings, we craft dishes that are both authentically rooted and delightfully surprising.”
Dishes on the restaurant’s extensive menu include Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, Saag Paneer, Shrimp Biryani, and a Truffle Ghee Rosemary Naan.
Building permits have just been issued in order to give the space at the Purcellville Shopping Center a makeover.
No official opening date yet, but the Train to Mumbai team tells us they are aiming for sometime this fall – hopefully late October or early November.
