Some bummer news to tell you today about a Raising Cane’s drive-thru restaurant proposed for a parcel of land near the Leesburg Premium Outlets in Leesburg.
It appears that Raising Cane’s has withdrawn the application that it had filed with the Town of Leesburg.
As The Burn reported earlier this year, Cane’s was considering taking over the spot where the TGIFriday’s restaurant used to be located, tearing that building down, and building one of its much-loved chicken tender restaurants there.
However, recently the file on the proposed Cane’s project was changed to “application withdrawn.”
We reached out to a representative for Raising Cane’s to find out if the brand was still looking for a suitable spot in Leesburg and we’re waiting for them to get back to us.
