Unfortunate news to report – a Herndon coffee shop has decided to close its doors permanently.
Meanwhile Coffee, which is located in the Woodland Park Crossing shopping center, made the announcement on social media this weekend.
“It’s with incredibly heavy hearts that we share that Meanwhile Coffee will be closing its doors permanently at the end of August,” the post read.
“We made this decision only after exhausting every option to keep going especially since we fought so hard to get it open just a little over a year ago,” the message continues. “But between the economy, rising rent, county taxes, tariffs, and the many financial realities of running a small business, it has simply become too difficult. At the end of the day, we have to do what’s best for our family.”
The coffee house had a superhero and comic book theme and had art featuring many comic book characters hanging on its walls.
The shop’s last weekend in business will be August 29 and 30. The Meanwhile team is encouraging customers to use their loyalty points and gift cards before the final day.
