Ashburn is going to the dogs with three new businesses

Ashburn is going to the dogs – that was our first thought when we realized not one, not two, but at least three different canine-centric businesses were coming to the community.

Dogtopia, a national doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming brand, has already opened its doors at the Loudoun Station center off Shellhorn Road.

“Our mission is to make sure your four-legged family members are kept safe and have a fun time when they are at our modern, open-play facility,” the brand’s website reads.

Meanwhile, Vega’s Pet Grooming opened last month in the Ashburn Farm Market Center. That’s the Giant-anchored shopping center sometimes called Junction Plaza off Ashburn Farm Parkway at Claiborne.

“We specialize exclusively in dog grooming and take pride in treating every pet as part of our family,” the website touts. “Our experienced and caring groomers provide a complete range of grooming services, from luxurious baths and professional haircuts to nail trims and more.”

We’ve also learned that a new pet grooming and spa facility is coming to the Broadlands Village Center at Claiborne Parkway and Broadlands Boulevard.

Pawsome Days is the name and it will be taking over the space recently vacated by Canine Carousel, a similarly-themed establishment.

‘It’s not just grooming. It’s trust, comfort, and family,” reads a Pawsome Days post on social media.

Pawsome Days is expected to open this fall. Right now, the team there is predicting sometime in October.
