The new Tous Les Jours French-Asian bakery and restaurant has officially opened its doors in Ashburn.
After a soft opening Thursday, a grand opening was held this morning – Friday, August 21 – at the new bakery in the Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center.
That’s the center anchored by a Lidl grocery store at the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Russell Branch Parkway.
As The Burn has been reporting, Tous Les Jours made good time renovating the former Cafe Rio Mexican Grill restaurant space into one of its modern bakeries.
Tous Les Jours – often abbreviated to TLJ – means something like “every day” in French.
The menu features pastries, cakes, breads, sandwiches, and coffee beverages inspired by the cuisine of both France and a variety of East Asian countries.
It would probably be considered a direct competitor to the growing Paris Baguette chain – which also features French-Asian items, as well as to restaurants like Panera.
