A new bagel shop coming to Loudoun County is making swift progress as opening day approaches – and now The Burn has a first look at the restaurant’s menu.
We’re talking about the new Torus Bagels coming to Ashburn courtesy of former pro football player Edward Wang.
As The Burn told readers last year, Wang graduated from Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn and played college ball at Virginia Tech. He went on to play for two years with the Buffalo Bills and also had stints with the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now he’s getting into the bagel biz.
Torus Bagels will be located in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center. It’s gone into the former Jimmy John’s sub shop space and construction has been underway for months now.
The menu at Torus will include several curated bagel sandwiches such as The Ozark, which is sausage, egg, cheddar cheese, scallion cream cheese, and hot sauce on asiago Parmesan bagel.
There is a build-your-own-bagel option where you pick your bagel, your meat, and your toppings.
There are also sourdough toasts and English muffins, as well as a full lineup of coffee drinks. You can check out the preliminary Torus Bagels menu below.
Right now, an official opening date hasn’t been set, but Wang and his team are aiming for sometime in October.
