The signage has gone up at the new Pitango Gelato & Coffee coming to Loudoun County – and we have an update on the store’s target opening.
As The Burn first reported last October, Pitango is opening a new sweet shop at the South Riding Market Square shopping center.
That’s the center with the Giant supermarket and the Home Depot off Loudoun County Parkway just south of Route 50.
Pitango is going into the corner unit left vacant when the GameStop video game store moved out.
The signs were recently installed on the facade over the entrance and work has been underway inside for several months now.
We reached out to Pitango’s world HQ and a rep there told us – if all goes smoothly – they are aiming for a late September opening.
Of course, as anyone who has ever opened a restaurant or shop knows, there can be all kinds of unexpected hiccups. Nevertheless, we know opening day is finally on the horizon.
